Secwepemc Thompson River Journey

Departing from our launch just upstream of the Bonaparte River, this 2.5‑hour jetboat experience travels through the Secwepemc stretch of the Thompson River. Moving against the current, the river reveals its deep channels, gravel bars, cutbanks, and the seasonal features that have shaped travel for generations. As the canyon walls rise, the route leads toward the confluence of Deadman’s Creek, where waters from the interior plateau meet the main river. Travelling just beyond this landmark before turning downstream offers a new perspective, with the current carrying the boat through bends, shelves, and rock features that look different on the return. This tour highlights the Secwepemc portion of the river corridor, offering a fast, scenic, and grounded experience through one of the most important waterways in the interior.
Nlaka’pamux Thompson River Journey

Departing from Martel, this 2.5‑hour jetboat experience travels upstream into the Nlaka’pamux canyon country of the Thompson River. The canyon tightens quickly, with carved basalt walls, swirling eddies, and powerful currents defining the route. Travelling against the flow provides a close look at the geological forces that shape this section of the river. The tour continues toward Cornwall Spire, a striking landmark rising above the canyon, before turning downstream. With the current behind us, the river moves faster, revealing new details in the rock shelves, cutbanks, and side channels. This tour highlights the dramatic Nlaka’pamux canyon corridor and offers a fast, scenic run through one of the most powerful stretches of the Thompson.
Thompson River Nations Journey (Combined)

Departing from Martel, this 6‑hour jetboat experience combines our Secwepemc Thompson River Journey and Nlaka’pamux Canyon River Journey into one continuous run along the river. Travelling upstream first, we move through Black Canyon and past Cornwall Spire before entering Ashcroft, where the valley opens and the river widens. Just beyond town is the confluence of the Bonaparte River, a key landmark and the launch point for our Secwepemc tour. Continuing upstream past Juniper Beach, the route leads to the confluence of Deadman’s Creek, the upper extent of the tour. After a fuel and lunch stop, the downstream return offers a faster, more dynamic run as the current carries the boat through canyon walls, rock shelves, and landmarks that look new from this direction. This combined tour connects Secwepemc and Nlaka’pamux river country in one continuous journey, offering a fast, scenic, and culturally grounded experience along one of the most important waterways in the interior.
