His ancestors lived, fished, and moved along these banks long before roads or railways, and he carries those teachings forward — blending jetboat skill with cultural knowledge and a genuine respect for the land.
Away from the river, Kyle stays grounded in community. He coaches youth sports, takes part in cultural ceremony, and works to strengthen opportunities for Secwepemc and Nlaka’pamux people in the region.
