Sacred River Journeys

Black Canyon Drone5.png

At 89 Mile Cultural Expeditions, Nlaka'pamux and Secwepemc guides reveal the Thompson River as a living library of ancestral wisdom. We invite you to traverse these traditional territories along two profound routes. The first departs from 89 Mile Post, gliding past the spiritual presence of Pukaist Spire and St. Aidan’s Church up to the Immense cliffs of Black Canyon and then returning to the historic stone tunnels of Martel Siding. The second starts at Juniper Beach, navigating downstream to the confluence of the Bonaparte(Stuxtews) River then returning to the sacred junction at Deadman’s (Skeetchesn) Creek. Every mile is a deep immersion into the ecological stewardship of these lands. As you travel through these storied canyons, we maintain the integrity of your experience by carefully managing vessel weight. Pricing: Adult $250...Youth 12-16 $200 Child U12 $150 This logistical detail ensures the most responsive and smooth navigation through these powerful, historic waters.
